Today your student will be coming home with information regarding a School Store. Now, this isn’t a store at our school where they can buy things. Instead it is a link online where people can go buy all of their usual items from online stores (Walmart, Target, Kohls), but Heyburn gets a percentage of the money spent!
This is a great way for Heyburn Elementary to raise funds without people having to buy things they don’t want or need! The funds will go to student rewards, student awards, and fun extra activities.
On the Information page for parents, a new Report to Parents newsletter has been posted. This newsletter focuses on Prepping or Emergencies. Take a minute and give it a look!
You and your student are invited to join us at the Open House that will take place on August 30th from 5 – 6:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for you to meet the teacher, have your student become familiar with the classroom, deliver school supplies, and get a first look at the NEW office on the first floor! There also will be an opportunity to look / sign up for various extracurricular opportunities for your student. Various organizations will have tables set up in the gym. Also be sure to stop in at the PTO table, Title 1, Food Service, WIC, and more. Other fun things going on will be a picture booth to commemorate your student’s “Back to School”, popcorn and ice cream will be for sale also.
